Took mine, says the same thing. Now I have to make my husband go to the store in a storm in this covid time because we need a reliable thermometer... I'm so aggravated And I only gave it one star because I had to put something there. I give this thing 0 stars. I threw the packaging away already otherwise I would be returning to store. I would be responsible for shipping charges if I were to send to the manufacturer for repair. I'm very disappointed with the quality of this particular product!! Clearly, it is not or at least this product is not of quality. Same issues others are having are occurring with my thermometer as well. Used one time and the battery is showing LO. It changes from Fahrenheit to Celsius without warning. I was able to change it back but it took several attempts. This is not what you want when your child has a fever. I would never buy this product again and wish I could return it, however I threw away the packaging and refuse to pay for shipping for a companies poor product.
